I’ve never been good at Twitter. I could never figure out what made it work. Just the other day, Autumn Christian told a buddy of mine that his Twitter engagement was low because he didn’t reply to other people’s tweets. I had no idea that was even a thing!
The other problem, and this goes for my “online presence” in general, is that I don’t know how to stick to a mode. I don’t really have a voice the way that I do in a book. It’s bizarre. Once I start working on a novel, it’s like something comes over me, and this voice starts coming out. It’s not present in this blog, or on any of the social media I’ve taken part in over the years. It’s…different.

I relate to this a lot. More than once, people have told me my online presence seems “scattered.”
