The Collective
Broken River Books is a collective of five core writers focused on cyberpunk, crime, and horror. Each of us is independent, and on our own path. Along the way, we help each other to make our books the best they can be. A small, tight-knit group dedicated to writing awesome weird shit.

J David Osborne
The Chief
JDO lives in Oklahoma. He started Broken River Books in 2013. He published dozens of fantastic writers who were gracious enough to work with him. Now he spends most of his time raising his son. For money, he edits books on a freelance basis. For fun, he co-hosts the Takashi Miike-inspired podcast Agitator, and writes cyberpunk books.

Kelby Losack
The Shooter
Kelby Losack is a hoodrat noir, cyberpunk, and horror author, voice actor, and co-host of the cult hit podcast Agitator. He lives with his wife and their two sons in Gulf Coast Texas. His most recent books are Mercy, Letting Out the Devils, and the upcoming Roughneck.

David Simmons
The Pusher
David Simmons lives in Baltimore with his wife and daughter where he has worked as an optician, rapper, electrical estimator, and drug dealer. His debut novel, Ghosts of East Baltimore, is out now via Broken River Books.

The Alchemist
Grant Wamack is the Wonderland award nominated author of MELANCHOLY’S FINEST, BLACK GYPSIES, and GOD’S LEFTOVERS. He pulls tarot cards, practices jiu jitsu, and smokes weed in Los Angeles. Follow his come-up at
